Overview
CBS provides power distribution products and services, including a large national inventory of new, surplus, and reconditioned circuit breakers, switchgear, motor control, transformers, and legacy power apparatus. We also deliver shop and field services such as repair, upgrades, reconditioning, remanufacturing, engineering support, maintenance testing, and emergency response.
This role is for a driven, consultative outside sales professional with an electrical background who can hunt for new business while also expanding existing accounts. You will own an assigned territory and sell a broad range of products and services tied to electrical power distribution systems.

What you will do
Territory growth and account management
• Manage and grow a well-established territory by expanding current accounts and developing new business
• Prospect and sell into industrial, utility, data center, power generation, and electrical contractor markets
• Build relationships with manufacturers, contractors, end users, and engineering firms to expand CBS visibility and demand
• Support customer accounts through the full sales cycle, including securing purchase orders and maintaining strong customer relations
• Assist with overdue invoice collection in partnership with internal teams when needed. Solution selling and technical leadership
• Sell CBS services including maintenance testing, engineering design work, and emergency response
• Sell CBS products including low and medium voltage breakers, switchgear, motor control, transformers, switching systems, life extension programs, and legacy apparatus
• Promote CBS designed solutions such as remote racking products, electrical test products, and vacuum interrupter replacement bottles
• Partner with inside sales, product specialists, and engineering to plan, prepare, and execute complex upgrade projects
• Translate customer requirements into the right scope, solution set, and proposal strategy
• Create and deliver presentations and demos that clearly communicate the value proposition
• Manage the technical components of RFP and RFI responses
• Communicate customer needs clearly to engineering and production teams to ensure satisfaction and successful delivery

What we are looking for
Required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Willingness to travel
• Proven experience in outside sales with an electrical background
• Track record selling complex solutions and managing multiple stakeholders
• Strong communication skills, including presentations and written proposals
• Solid technical understanding of electrical distribution systems, hands on experience is a plus
• Comfortable using CRM and ERP tools
