Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
We are seeking experienced car mechanics who are eager to explore a new challenge and expand their horizons in the electrical industry. As a Breaker Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of circuit breakers and electrical distribution systems in various settings.
ENTRY LEVEL FACILITY REPAIR TECH SKILLS
- Able to read electrical and mechanical blueprints.
- General knowledge of maintenance including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, woodwork, and welding.
- Knowledge of use of most small hand tools and power tools.
- Aptitude to learn machining and painting (spray-booth), electrical trouble shooting and other general handyman duties.
- Effective communication skills.
- Able to follow directions and learn how to read electrical and mechanical blueprints.
- Must have basic knowledge of electrical -mechanical assembly work.
- Ability to read and interpret simple drawings such as drawings of product charts or diagrams.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- May perform routine tasks in preparation for assembly such as cleaning parts, cutting wire to specified sizes, wiring, and fastening terminal connections.
- Pull open job file and review documentation for correct and completed paperwork as required.
- Utilize assorted raw materials and components to assist in assembly of finished products. Close attention is paid to assembly or work instructions to ensure proper assembly.
- Assembles and/or installs various electrical or electronic components as directed and as specified by blueprints, wire lists, diagrams, or previously established practices.
- Utilizes small hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, socket drivers, pliers and hand tools.
- Utilizes provided electrical test equipment as needed. Record results of test by both written form and computer data entry.
- Hand tools and equipment must be properly maintained and stored. Only tools in proper operating condition and/or calibration will be utilized.
- Employees must comply with all applicable safety instructions to prevent injury to themselves and others.
- Assist in loading and unloading vehicles with forklift or pallet jack to expedite business.
- Participate in the corrective/preventive action process within their department.
- Advises management on problem correction.
- Perform other duties as requested to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
