This opportunity sits within the Compliance team and supports the Senior Manager Compliance in developing, implementing and maintaining RAA Group’s compliance management framework. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business, providing trusted SME advice, supporting projects and initiatives, and helping ensure regulatory obligations are clearly understood and effectively managed.

 

This role offers variety, exposure to senior stakeholders, and the opportunity to make a real impact in a values-led organisation that prioritises safety, integrity and accountability.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

·         Monitor regulatory change and assess business impacts

·         Manage, investigate and assess compliance incidents and breaches

·         Prepare internal compliance reporting and support regulator reporting

·         Draft and maintain compliance policies, procedures and tools

·         Provide support on all RAA corporate insurance matters, including broker relationships and lodgment of claims

·         Deliver compliance training and awareness initiatives

·         Build strong stakeholder relationships and promote a positive compliance culture

 

About You:

 

You’re a detail-oriented compliance or legal professional who enjoys working at the intersection of regulation, risk and business operations. You’re confident interpreting regulatory requirements, providing practical advice, and communicating clearly with stakeholders at all levels. You’re comfortable working independently while also contributing to a close-knit team.

 

·         A relevant tertiary qualification and/or demonstrated experience in compliance, legal or risk roles (essential)

·         Experience in compliance, legal or risk environments (general insurance or financial services desirable)

·         Strong understanding of compliance management frameworks and regulatory obligations

·         Ability to interpret legislation and regulatory guidance and translate it into practical business outcomes

·         High-level research, analytical and problem-solving skills

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to manage competing priorities

·         Proficiency across Microsoft Office and business systems
