This is a full-time, permanent opportunity within RAA’s Community Impact and Environment team. You’ll enjoy a supportive, inclusive culture where your leadership, expertise and passion for education will be valued.
As Team Leader School Education, you’ll be responsible for leading the delivery of RAA’s school-based road safety education programs, with a proud history of making a real difference for South Australian communities across metropolitan and regional South Australia. You’ll manage and support a team of Road Safety Educators, ensure high-quality program delivery, meet partner commitments, and help evolve programs in line with contemporary teaching practices.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Providing clear leadership, direction and performance management for a team of Road Safety Educators
· Overseeing the planning, scheduling and logistics of school visits across South Australia
· Ensuring delivery of the Street Smart Primary program meets contractual and reporting requirements
· Supporting continuous improvement of education programs using feedback and survey insights
· Delivering road safety lessons in schools when required to meet targets
· Managing delivery of the Way2Go Bike Ed program, including liaison with schools and Bicycle SA
· Supporting delivery of additional programs such as car care workshops, pre-school and high school education
· Researching road safety education trends and collaborating with partners to develop new programs
· Supporting the design and implementation of new education initiatives, lesson plans and resources
About You
You’re an experienced education leader with a strong background in teaching and a passion for road safety and community impact. You thrive in people leadership roles, are highly organised, and communicate confidently with a wide range of stakeholders. You enjoy balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and bring a proactive, collaborative approach to your work.
You’ll also bring:
· A tertiary qualification in Education – mandatory
· Current South Australian Teacher Registration – mandatory
· Valid First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
· Current Working with Children Clearance
· Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education Care Certificate
· Experience leading small teams of subject matter experts
· Excellent communication, organisation and presentation skills
· Current ‘Class C’ drivers licence essential (metro and regional travel required)
