Shape the Future of RAA's Transformation Journey

RAA is one of South Australia's most iconic and trusted organisations, and right now we're on an exciting transformation journey - one that touches every part of our business. To help us navigate that journey with clarity and confidence, we're looking for a talented Portfolio Roadmap Manager to join our newly established Transformation Management Office (TMO).

This is a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up. You'll be architecting the way RAA sees, plans, and executes its entire transformation portfolio

What You'll Do

At its core, this role is about giving our leadership team clear line-of-sight from strategic ambition to on-the-ground delivery. You'll own the enterprise-wide transformation roadmap - integrating initiatives across Business Units, Strategy, Technology and Finance into a single, coherent picture.

Day-to-day, you'll be the person who spots the conflicts before they become crises. You'll identify where teams are competing for the same resources, where dependencies threaten delivery, and where the sequencing of initiatives needs rethinking. Then you'll bring the right people together to sort it out.

You'll also be the storyteller. Through compelling dashboards, visualisations, and executive reports, you'll translate complex portfolio information into insights that drive real decisions at the Leadership Team, Quarterly Business Reviews, and Investment Committee level.

Key focus areas include:

  • Developing and maintaining the organisation-wide transformation roadmap, keeping it prioritised, accurate, strategic, and directly linked to value delivery
  • Establishing dependency and contention management methodologies as a foundational pillar of the new TMO
  • Building portfolio dashboards and visualisations that communicate clearly to audiences from program teams through to the Executive
  • Facilitating workshops to resolve cross-portfolio conflicts, resource contention, and delivery risks before they escalate
  • Partnering with Finance, Strategy, and Technology to ensure the transformation and technology roadmaps stay aligned

What We're Looking For

You're an experienced portfolio or program professional who thrives in complexity. You're equally comfortable in a workshop with a group of project managers as you are presenting a roadmap to a room full of executives.

You bring:

  • 5+ years in portfolio management, program coordination, or roadmap management within medium to large, complex organisations
  • A proven track record managing enterprise-wide roadmaps across multiple concurrent initiatives with competing priorities
  • Strong analytical and systems thinking skills — you can see the whole board, not just individual pieces
  • Exceptional visual communication skills and experience with portfolio management and data visualisation tools
  • The gravitas and interpersonal skill to influence stakeholders across all levels without direct authority
  • A tertiary qualification in Business, Project Management, or a related field (mandatory); a professional certification such as PfMP or PgMP is a bonus

Experience in financial services, insurance, or a regulated industry would be an advantage, as would familiarity with Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall delivery approaches.
