At RAA, we’re here to make life better for our members - and protecting their information is a critical part of that mission. We’re looking for a Cyber Security Analyst who’s passionate about threat detection, proactive defence, and staying one step ahead of adversaries.

If you thrive in a fastpaced environment where no two days are the same, enjoy diving deep into cyber threats, and love turning complex security challenges into practical solutions, this is your chance to make a real impact.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of RAA’s cyber defence operations. You will:

·         Identify opportunities to uplift detection capabilities and security controls.

·         Strengthen RAA’s threat intelligence coverage and data sources.

·         Build and maintain documentation for cyber tools, architecture, and processes.

·         Collaborate across RAA and with external partners, vendors, and industry groups.

·         Maintain trusted, effective working relationships across teams.

·         Escalate issues and provide insights to support decision-making.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone with both technical depth and the ability to communicate clearly with nontechnical audiences.

·         Extensive experience in cyber security operations or SOC environments.

·         Handson experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, NextGen SIEM platforms).

·         Experience with EDR platforms such as CrowdStrike and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.

·         Technical experience with Microsoft’s security stack, including Defender, Entra, and Purview.

·         Incident investigation and response experience across cloud and onprem environments.

·         Strong understanding of threats, attack techniques, and adversary behaviours.

·         Familiarity with Microsoft security technologies, including Defender XDR and Purview.

·         Experience with Defender for Cloud Apps (CASB) (desirable).

·         Strong analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problemsolving.

·         Experience analysing and reporting on data across diverse platforms.

·         Ability to plan, implement, and upgrade systems.

·         Comfortable building relationships and explaining complex concepts simply.
Commitment to continuous improvement - for processes and for yourself.

Qualifications

Desirable (but not mandatory) certifications include:

·         CISSP, CISA, CISM

·         GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)

·         OSCP, CEH

·         CCSP

·         CompTIA Security+

Active involvement in industry bodies like AISA or ISACA is highly valued.
