Ready to take your automotive expertise on the road with one of South Australia’s most trusted organisations? RAA is looking for a skilled and customer-focused Vehicle Inspector to join our Vehicle Inspection team and help deliver the high-quality service our members rely on every day.

This is a hands-on, mobile role where no two days look the same - and you’ll be equipped with everything you need to succeed, including your own fully equipped inspection van, tools, uniform, PPE and ongoing training.

What You’ll Be Doing

·         Customer Service

-          Deliver friendly, professional service to members

-          Take ownership of customer issues and resolve them promptly

-          Maintain high personal and van presentation standards

-          Contribute to RAA’s iconic roadside assistance on completion of multiskilled training

·         Inspections & Repairs

-          Complete accurate, efficient vehicle inspections

-           Service and repair mobility scooters

-          Stay up to date with automotive and mobility technologies

-          Work in line with all relevant legislation and RAA procedures

·         Organisation & Efficiency

-          Manage your schedule and arrive on time to bookings

-          Maintain accurate admin, cash handling and documentation

-          Communicate effectively with the VI leadership and admin teams

What You’ll Bring

·         Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology (mandatory)

·         Class C driver’s licence (mandatory)

·         Minimum 3 years post trade experience

·         Strong diagnostic and repair skills (automotive + mobility scooters)

·         Air Conditioning accreditation, body/paint/panel experience (desirable)

·         Excellent communication and customer service capability

·         Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

·         Solid knowledge of ADRs, SA Motor Vehicle legislation, used car warranty and inspection standards

·         Confident using all electronic device platforms, with strong typing skills and solid experience across the Microsoft Office suite

 

Additional Requirements

·         Ability to operate from an approved metro start location

·         Completion of pre‑employment checks (medical, national police clearance)

·         No previous suspension or revocation of SA inspection accreditation
