RAA’s Summer Internship Program:

RAA’s Award-Winning Summer Internship Program provides university students with the opportunity to undertake a paid, eight-week internship at RAA over the summer holidays.   • Gives budding professionals valuable industry experience and the opportunity to see our values and culture firsthand
  • Weekly Lunch & Learns targeted to improve your interpersonal skills and help with the transition from campus to the corporate world

  • Work on Summer Intern Group Project with your entire internship cohort and present this in your final week

Over the eight-week internship, you will work with the other interns and your team to develop your professional skills, business acumen and gain insight into a rewarding career at RAA. As a top performer, you may even find a potential pathway to employment!

You must be currently in your final year or penultimate year of undergraduate study with a minimum credit average, have Australian working rights, and be available for the full duration of the internship in Adelaide from 8 December 2025 – 19 December 2025 & 5 January 2026 – 13 February 2026.

 

What you’ll be doing:

The Work Health & Safety Summer Intern will be responsible for supporting the development of process maps for all Work, Health and Safety (WHS) and Injury Management (IM) processes and support the broader People and Capability (P&C) document management uplift project. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring there is quality control of WHS and IM processes to align with the WHS strategic goals and enhancing the employee experience by there being a consistent approach to WHS and IM processes. Responsibilities include:

 

  • Participating in the identification of process maps requiring development
  • Collaborating with stakeholders on process map inclusions/content
  • Assisting in the creation of the process maps using Microsoft Visio
  • Identifying any gaps in the processes that require rectifying
  • Assisting with tasks to support the broader P&C document management uplift project

 

About you  

You will be a passionate, self-motivated individual, with a positive mind-set who is eager to learn and enjoys working in a high performing culture. We are also looking for: 

  • Currently in your penultimate or final year of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant area (e.g. Psychology, WHS, Sociology, HR, Business)
  • The ability to work across our Mile End site and our office in Adelaide’s CBD
  • Experience in customer service, retail and/or hospitality is highly desirable
  • Basic understanding of management systems (desired)
  • High academic achievement (minimum GPA 5.0 or credit average)
  • Teamwork demonstrated through extracurricular activities (e.g. sports, clubs, work, societies)
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio & PowerPoint)
  • A quick learner who seeks out opportunities to improve their skills and knowledge
  • People-centric approach to tasks
