Are you fascinated by what makes people tick, how brands connect, and how data drives decisions? RAA is offering a dynamic opportunity for a penultimate or final-year student to join our Group Research & Insights team for a summer of discovery, collaboration, and growth.

This internship isn’t just about crunching numbers—it’s about uncovering stories, shaping strategy, and seeing your insights come to life.

RAA’s Summer Internship Program:

RAA’s Award-Winning Summer Internship Program provides university students with the opportunity to undertake a paid, eight-week internship at RAA over the summer holidays. RAA’s Summer Internship Program has recently been ranked #7 Top Intern Program (small programs) in the nation, according to AAGE’s 2025 Top Intern Program List! This program provides the following: 

  • Gives budding professionals valuable industry experience and the opportunity to see our values and culture firsthand
  • Weekly Lunch & Learns targeted to improve your interpersonal skills and help with the transition from campus to the corporate world
  • Be provided with exciting and meaningful work to make a real impact to SA
  • Work on Summer Intern Group Project with your entire internship cohort and present this in your final week
  • Regular mentoring sessions with a Senior Manager to help you grow in the right direction
  • A ‘ride along’ with an RAA Patrol to see some of what we do in the SA community
  • A fun, friendly and supportive environment that makes you excited to come to work!

Over the eight-week internship, you will work with the other interns and your team to develop your professional skills, business acumen and gain insight into a rewarding career at RAA. As a top performer, you may even find a potential pathway to employment!

You must be currently in your final year or penultimate year of undergraduate study with a minimum credit average, have Australian working rights, and be available for the full duration of the internship in Adelaide from 8 December 2025 – 19 December 2025 & 5 January 2026 – 13 February 2025.

 

What You’ll be doing:

As our Market Research Summer Intern, you’ll dive into real consumer and brand studies, working alongside experienced researchers to deliver actionable insights that influence how RAA serves its members. You’ll explore market trends, analyse data, and contribute to projects that matter—all while building your skills and confidence in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

Research & Analysis

  • Support the delivery of research studies that inform business decisions
  • Develop sampling lists and ensure data accuracy and quality
  • Adhere to industry regulations and ethical research standards

Market Insights

  • Conduct desktop research and monitor competitor activity
  • Help identify emerging trends and translate them into meaningful insights

Teamwork & Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Research team and internal stakeholders
  • Deliver professional, high-quality service with a curious and collaborative mindset
  • Contribute to team meetings, share ideas, and ask great question

 

Who we are looking for:

You will be a passionate, self-motivated individual, with a positive mind-set who is eager to learn and enjoys working in a high performing culture. We are also looking for: 

  • Currently studying a bachelor’s degree with a key focus on marketing, market research, statistics, business, psychology, behavioural science, data analytics and/or similar, due to complete in 2025 or 2026
  • Experience in customer service, retail and/or hospitality is highly desirable
  • High academic achievement (minimum GPA 5.0 or credit average)
  • Teamwork demonstrated through extracurricular activities (e.g. sports, clubs, work, societies)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into insights
  • Experience with Tableau or Power BI
  • Experience with Knime, Python or similar
  • Experience with Q and/or Qualtrics or similar is highly desirable
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
  • Strong sense of professionalism with the ability to work autonomously
