RAA is seeking an experienced DBT Data Engineer to contribute to the ongoing development and optimisation of our enterprise data platforms. This role is ideal for someone who excels in implementing scalable data architectures, building efficient data pipelines, and delivering reliable data solutions that support business intelligence and analytics.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

·         Build the backbone: Transformational work to reengineer SQL Server enterprise data platform into next gen AWS Snowflake data platforms. Design and develop scalable pipeline solutions across data lake houses, marts, and stores using dbt Cloud and SSIS.

·         Champion data integrity: Support enterprise data platforms, diagnose performance issues, resolve discrepancies, and ensure optimal data availability, security, and consistency.

·         Enhance operational excellence: Implement self-healing pipelines, monitor performance, and optimise workflows while upholding strong data governance.

·         Collaborate and lead: Work across agile squads to deliver business outcomes, communicate technical magic clearly, and build meaningful partnerships across teams.

 

What We’re Looking For

·         DBT mastery: Proven experience with transformation models using dbt Labs and dbt Cloud.

·         Cloud skills: Familiarity with AWS Snowflake and Fivetran (highly desirable), and Microsoft Azure.

·         Tech toolkit: Deep knowledge of SQL Server, SSIS, and designing dimensional/relational models.

·         Sharp thinking: Analytical excellence, clear communication, and the ability to simplify complex architecture.

·         Agility mindset: Experience with agile delivery practices using Jira and Confluence.

 

Qualifications & Experience

·         Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent (preferred).

·         Solid background in data integration, database design, CI/CD, DevOps and data analysis
