Your new opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Manager Business Partnering, an exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and commercially savvy Finance Manager – Strategy & Energy to join RAA’s Finance team.
This influential role is responsible for leading financial performance management across the Strategy and Energy functions, including oversight of reporting, forecasting, and business analysis. As a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, you will provide intelligent financial insights that support strategic initiatives, and help drive RAA’s long-term growth.
Leading a team of Finance Business Analysts, you’ll mentor and guide the delivery of accurate, timely, and value-adding analysis, while also driving continuous improvement in processes and reporting capability.
You will be instrumental in:
- Leading a team to deliver monthly and long-term financial planning, forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Supporting senior leadership in achieving financial targets through strategic advice and deep commercial insight.
- Partnering with the Strategy and Energy teams to identify opportunities, optimise resources, and drive key initiatives.
- Acting as the Finance lead on strategic projects, including mergers and acquisitions.
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement in reporting, processes, and business acumen.
- Managing and developing high-performing finance professionals through coaching, goal-setting, and performance feedback.

You are a proactive and influential finance professional with a strong understanding of commercial drivers and the ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable insights. You’re an inclusive leader who thrives in a fast-paced, strategic environment.
At RAA, we hire on cultural add first and technical fit second! However, to be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce (mandatory)
- CA/CPA qualification (mandatory)
- Extensive experience in finance, including leadership roles in complex business environments
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
- Strong business partnering and stakeholder engagement skills
- Advanced financial modelling, analysis and forecasting capability
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- A continuous improvement mindset and sound understanding of accounting standards and commercial principles
