Your new opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Manager Business Partnering, an exciting opportunity has become available for a driven and analytical Finance Business Analyst – Energy to join RAA’s Finance, Business Improvement & Investments team.
This role will see you working closely with RAA’s Energy business, providing trusted financial insights, strategic reporting, and commercial analysis that enable effective decision-making and support future-focused initiatives.
As a key business partner to the Energy function, you will deliver high-quality financial reporting, identify value-adding opportunities, and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and insights.
You will be instrumental in:
- Delivering timely and accurate monthly financial performance reporting.
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles with insightful analysis.
- Providing strategic financial advice and decision support to business leaders.
- Enhancing and evolving financial reporting to support continuous improvement.
- Driving efficiency in financial processes and fostering commercial thinking.
- Supporting ad-hoc projects, board papers, and policy development.

You are a proactive, analytical thinker who is passionate about translating data into insights that drive real business value. You thrive in collaborative environments, build strong relationships, and are always looking for ways to improve processes and outcomes.
At RAA, we hire on cultural add first and technical fit second! However, to be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related field (CA/CPA status desirable).
- Experience in a similar finance/business analysis role.
- Strong commercial acumen and a solid understanding of financial principles.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; Tableau or similar tools a plus.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and communicate with influence.
- A continuous improvement mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in a complex systems environment is highly regarded.
