  • Exciting opportunity to join SA’s iconic RAA 
  • 12-month term contract, based in the heart of Adelaide’s CBD

This exciting opportunity will see you supporting the Compliance team to uplift, develop and maintain RAA’s compliance management framework and related initiatives. In addition, you will: 

·         Uplift and maintain RAA Group’s Obligations Register and related processes.

·         Develop, document and test key controls for identified material obligations.

·         Receive, review, assess, and manage reported compliance incidents.

·         Collate and prepare compliance related information for reporting to internal stakeholders, including the Chief Governance & Risk Officer.

·         Provide the business (including projects, work streams, and other initiatives) with SME support and assistance in relation to compliance.

·         Draft, review, update, and communicate policies and procedures, guidelines, tools and other strategies in support of effective compliance management.

·         Establish and maintain excellent collaborative and productive working relationships in the business, and where applicable, with external stakeholders.

About you  

You are a confident and passionate self-motivated individual who enjoys working in a high performing culture. You’re passionate about helping our community (and members) and want to make a difference.

For this role, we’re also looking for:

  • Tertiary qualification and/or previous demonstratable experience in a related discipline (essential)
  • Experience in legal, compliance, and/or risk spaces (general insurance/financial services desirable).
  • Legal qualifications or experience highly regarded.
  • Possess a strong understanding of compliance management processes and/or principles, as well as an appreciation for compliance risks.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks and the ability to translate regulatory requirements to specific areas of business or activities.
  • Ability to review and interpret regulatory material.
  • Ability to develop and implement policy related material in response to regulatory changes.
  • High level research and analytical skills.
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work with a broad range of internal stakeholders, often with competing interests.
  • Proficiency on suite of Microsoft applications and other general software/technology.
