What you’ll do:

As our Principal Data Engineer, you’ll:

• Advocate data strategy with stakeholders and collaborate to plan initiative delivery
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate complex data demands into deliverables.
• Provide technical leadership, guiding a team of data engineers to deliver high-value solutions.
• Lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and sustainable data platform solutions.
• Champion data governance and best practice engineering, ensuring integrity, performance, and compliance.
• Drive operational excellence, identifying opportunities for optimisation and embedding self-healing solutions

What we’re looking for:

We’re seeking a seasoned professional with:

• 15+ years’ experience specialising in data engineering, SQL database development, or BI engineering.
•         Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent (preferred)
• Strong specialisation in database development, analytics data platforms, data transformation, data governance, CI/CD and DevOps.
• Deep expertise in building analytical data warehousing and data marts with complex data sets.
• Proven leadership in guiding teams, planning initiatives, and delivering enterprise-scale solutions.
• Strong technical skills in AWS Snowflake, Microsoft Azure, SQL Server, dbt, SSIS, and CI/CD practices.
• Exceptional communication skills—able to simplify complex technical concepts and engage stakeholders.
• A passion for collaboration, innovation, transformation and building sustainable data solutions.
