The Application Administrator is responsible for maintaining and upgrading the Fiserv DNA core banking system, OpCon job scheduling system and other financial applications software used through the credit union. This includes creating, maintaining, automating, and testing scripts and jobs within the core banking system in order to provide security, gain efficiency, and/or meet business needs. This position also requires timely and thorough troubleshooting and documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
· Scripts and Jobs
o Update and improve existing scripts and jobs (e.g., processes)
§ Eliminate and/or or automate inefficiencies in the system where possible
o Develop new scripts and jobs to meet business needs
o Document and test all code
· System Maintenance
o Perform software updates including:
§ Install and configure both patches and major releases to non-production and production environments
§ Validate installation
§ Work closely with departments using assigned software applications
o Execute the month end process
o Actively maintain security measures on all systems
o Includes non‐traditional hours when necessary
o Write and maintain process documentation
· Manage Production Schedule and Monitor the Core
o Respond to system errors and downtime
Required Skills
Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:
· Education and Credentials
o Bachelor's degree Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Business Systems Administration or other related field or equivalent experience
· Experience
o 1 year of application administration or relevant technical professional or internship experience required
o Exposure with relational databases
o Prior experience with financial institution software preferred
· Skills/Abilities
o Have basic command line skills and be able to navigate in and modify files in a Linux and Windows environments
o Functions under general supervision in order to accomplish assigned projects while meeting established timelines
o Troubleshoot, test, and maintain production and non-production environments
o Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, in a professional manner when dealing with employees, members, vendors and company contacts
o Ability to follow the core values of honesty, integrity, mutual respect, pride and ownership
