We are currently seeking a Computer Network Support Specialist to support our Patuxent River, MD customer.

Functional Description: The Computer Network Support Specialist supports the distributed PC/networking environment. This includes installation, testing, repair, and troubleshooting for stand-alone PCs, PCs linked to networks, printers, and other computer peripherals. Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network systems, such as local area network (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), cloud networks, servers, and other data communication networks. Perform network maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

·         Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network systems, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), cloud networks, servers, and other data communication networks.

·         Perform network maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption.

·         Support responsibilities include software installation and configurations.

·         Performs technical, operational, and training support to users of personal computers on-site for PC desktop hardware and software packages.

·         Duties require the technician to install and test personal computers, printers, and other peripherals, configure operating systems, and load shrink-wrap programs and other application software programs. 

·         Solving computer problems

·         Performs hardware and software diagnostics, coordinates needed repairs, resolves computer system problems to including coordination between users and components of a local area network

·         Participates in the evaluation of system configuration and software.

·         Maintain and manage NMCI assets for distribution to contractor and government employees as Government Furnished Equipment (GFE)

·         Familiarity with .NET and NMCI ticketing system.  

Required Experience: Three (3) to Ten (10) years of experience performing duties described in the functional description

 

Desired Experience:

·         MS SharePoint experience

·         IT installation, testing, and troubleshooting.

·         Proficient in MS tools.

·         NMCI experience, preferably in a program office setting

Required Education:     Bachelor's Degree

Allowable Substitution: Associate's degree plus four (4) years of experience or an additional six (6) years of experience. 

Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

 Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $86,190.40 to 129,285.60 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems’ total compensation package.
