We are seeking a Software Test Engineer to join our team and help ensure the high-quality delivery of our cutting-edge products and services. As a Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for testing software applications to ensure they meet standards for performance, reliability, and functionality. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify potential issues early in the development cycle, allowing us to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Duties:

  • Design and implement comprehensive test plans, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and stress tests.
  • Support the Systems Engineer to maintain the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP).
  • Write, execute, and maintain test cases across different layers of the application.
  • Work closely with software developers and other engineers to understand features and identify edge cases.
  • Provide feedback to development teams on issues found during testing, helping improve product quality.
  • Perform testing of the training system and its components to validate performance and adherence to requirements.
  • Perform regression testing for all released builds.
  •  Support setting up test environments.
  • Maintain test results in the configuration management system.
  • Support tracking risks related to testing and quality.
  • Identify, report, and track software defects using issue-tracking tools.
  •  Prioritize and verify the resolution of issues to ensure timely delivery of product releases.

Required Education:

  •  B.S. in Computer Science/Software Engineering or Mathematics.

Required Experience:

  • Must have at least 2 years of academic or professional programming experience, 5 years of experience working in software quality assurance/testing, and 2 years of writing academic or technical documents.

Desired Experience/Skills:

  • Understanding/previous experience utilizing government furnished Technical Manuals.
  • Experience with Azure Dev Ops.
  • Two years of programming or testing experience.
  • Previous experience of testing game/simulation.
  • Experience with Unreal/Unity game engines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • An understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
