Billing Accounting Specialist

We are currently seeking a Billing Accounting Specialist to support our corporate office in Reston, Virginia. This role is responsible for all aspects of a subset of accounts receivable including billing and submission

Hybrid work schedule: 2 days in office, 3 days remote

Duties:  

• Collaborate with billing team on project setups and to ensure projects are properly capturing costs, recognizing revenue and preparing customer invoices
• Follow up on collections as needed
• Reconcile billing data to the accounting system
• Support customer questions and trouble shoot issues as they arise.

Required Education: 

• Bachelors Degree in accounting, finance or business administration

Required Experience: 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Government contracting experience required
• Proven experience with Deltek Costpoint, billing, revenue and projects modules 
• Strong experience with all types of government contracts, preferably a  candidate who possesses skills in the Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) environment
