Precise is currently looking for an Obsolescence Management Analyst in support of our client in Crane, IN. The ideal candidate will be able to perform the following duties, as well as possess the following education and experience:
Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
• Review and respond to obsolescence alerts and survey notices by analyzing the problem and calculate which solution has the least amount of risk to the program.
• Research vendor’s website/Contact vendors.
• Research potential alternate parts when obsolescence issues occur.
• Update Lifecycle information for COTS and electronic components.
• Interpret data using statistical findings to forecast lifecycle data trends, to forecast technology insertions and to provide lifecycle support.
• Provide recommendations to DMSMS Management Team through the use statistical tools, statistical analyses, and prevailing trends to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the projects.
• Collect quantified data and interpret the data to ensure alternate electronic components are potential replacements.
• Provide obsolescence management support including principles and practices applicable to the full range obsolescence management processes, including problem identification, alternatives analysis, solution analysis, and recommendation reporting.
• Support product surveys and vendor assessments. Review and analyze various data submittals including initiation of COTS and other electronic, electrical, and electromagnetic (EEE) parts Obsolescence Item Notices.
• Contact commercial and electronic component vendors supplied via lists to solicit product-engineering support data as identified in the survey. Enter data provided by the vendors into Horizon Solution Suite. Collect other data as provided by the vendor contacts that do not currently have a place in the database, plus other statistics observed during the survey process for assessment and consideration.
Required Experience/Education -
• High school Diploma/GED or equivalent required
• Minimum of 3 years experience in logistics support
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $37,252.80 to $52,500.00 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems’ total compensation package.
