We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Engineer to support our BD/sales pipeline activities. In this role, you will assist in technical, operational, and engineering support activities that enable our team to effectively manage and grow the sales pipeline. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technical insights, contribute to proposal preparation, and ensure that we meet the requirements of current and future DoD projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pipeline Support: Assist in tracking, organizing, and maintaining the BD/sales pipeline for DoD contracts by using CRM and pipeline management tools. Ensure all key milestones and deadlines are met.
- Proposal Preparation: Support the proposal team by providing technical input to proposal responses, reviewing RFPs (Request for Proposals), and helping ensure that all engineering specifications meet DoD requirements.
- Documentation: Help in preparing, editing, and reviewing technical documents, project plans, and engineering specifications for accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Customer & Team Collaboration: Work with senior engineers, business development teams, and customers to understand technical requirements and help translate them into actionable sales and engineering strategies.
- Market Research: Assist in research and gathering technical data for prospective DoD projects, including compliance regulations, technical requirements, and competitor analysis.
- Support Technical Presentations: Assist in the creation of presentations, demonstrations, and other materials for customer engagement and technical briefings.
- Quality Assurance: Provide support in ensuring that all technical deliverables and documents are of high quality, error-free, and aligned with industry standards.
- Cross-functional Team Support: Work closely with the BD, engineering, and contract/pricing teams to support the flow of information and deliverables necessary for winning DoD contracts.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Computer Science, or a related field).
- Strong interest in the Department of Defense contracting industry and understanding of DoD processes and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with complex technical documents.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to quickly learn new software tools and technical concepts.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Internship or prior experience in the defense, aerospace, or government contracting industry.
- Basic knowledge of DoD contract vehicles (e.g., IDIQ, FAR, DFARS).
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
- Experience with technical writing or editing.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $59,295.04-$88,942.56 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems’ total compensation package.
