We are currently seeking a Computer User Support Specialist to support our Pax River customer.  The specialist provides support to distributed PC/networking environment including installation, testing, repair, and troubleshooting for stand-alone PCs, PCs linked to networks, printers, and other computer peripherals. Support responsibilities include software installation, and configurations. This specialist performs technical, operational, and training support to users of personal computers either by telephone, or on-site for PC desktop hardware and software packages. Job duties require the specialist to install and test personal computers, printers, and other peripherals, configure operating system, load shrink-wrap programs and other application software programs. In this position, the specialist troubleshoots computer problems, performs hardware and software diagnostics, coordinates needed repairs, resolves computer system problems, including coordination between users and components of a local area network, and participates in the evaluation of system configuration and software.

Functional Description: Provide technical assistance to computer/network users in concert with appropriate helpdesk support. Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, or via telephone or electronically. May provide assistance concerning the acquiring and use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.  Provide assistance with the configuration and use of teleconferencing equipment to appropriate classification levels. 

Education Required: Bachelor's degree. Associate’s Degree plus two (2) years additional work experience or four (4) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree. 

Experience Required: Three to ten years of experience performing duties described in the functional description. 

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $44,054 to $115,325.33 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems’ total compensation package.
