We seek an experienced administrative assistant to provide administrative, technical, and programmatic support at the DEVCOM Chemical Biological Center (CBC) to support the Research and Operations Directorate's missions, functions, and operations.

Duties:

  • Provide DevSecOps engineering in an Agile development environment as part of a team.
  • Develop technical designs and specifications for complex software assurance and automated build and test capabilities
  • Research and integrate design strategies, product specifications, development schedules, and user expectations into capabilities to be integrated into the continuous integration/continuous deployment pipeline
  • Gain understanding and knowledge of the tactical electronic warfare systems and various software baselines.
  • Actively support all aspects of the system development lifecycle (analysis, requirements definition, design, coding, development and unit testing, maintenance and preparing associated documentation) with an emphasis on CI/CD pipeline debugging, maintenance, and enhancement
  • Work collectively and provide technical leadership to other developers within the engineering team to ensure high-quality software product delivery
  • Work collectively with other developers within the engineering team to design and implement high-quality software products.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Software Developer or DevSecOps engineer role, preferably for the United States Navy.
  • Work experience using Jenkins and Docker.
  • Work experience in a Scrum environment.
  • Working knowledge of the Linux operating environment including, but not limited to, the following:
  • Ability to clearly and accurately document software source code, specifications, and manuals.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate constructively and present overall results with other government and contractor personnel.
  • Ability to thrive in a flexible, team-oriented work environment.
  • Development experience with Python

Required Education:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in a STEM related major is required. No education equivalents. 

Desired Experience Includes:

  • Work experience using C++ and Java.
  • Knowledge of Atlassian issue tracking and version control tools

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $75,243.02 to $113,084.11 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems’ total compensation package.
