We are currently seeking a Physical Security Specialist II (PHYSEC) to support our NSWC customer in Crane, IN. The ideal candidate will be able to perform the following duties, as well as possess the following education and experience.
Duties:
- Register visitor Common Access Cards (CAC) in the intrusion detection system, provision with approved level of accesses per approved access request forms and process initial CAC pin and/or pin resets.
- Conduct Physical Security, Antiterrorism and Force Protection surveys and assessments of command facilities (on & off-installation)
- Conduct surveys and assessments of restricted areas and storage containers to certify them for classified operation
- Review building plans and design concepts to identify security requirements based on UFC guidelines
- Administer foreign travel requirements for command personnel. Assist in management of the command key control program
- Provide Anti-Terrorism and Force Protection support by assisting command travelers in the completion, submission and review of Isolated Preparation reports (ISOPREP) using Personnel Recovery Mission Software (PRMS) and Individual Anti-Terrorism Plans (IATP) in accordance with DoD Foreign Clearance Guide (FCG) requirements
- Assist with implementation of Random Anti-terrorism Measures (RAMs) and reporting to include the scheduling and execution of administrative checks, preparing quarterly RAM schedules, conducting monthly RAMs and provide findings to the Antiterrorism Officer (ATO)
- Prepare forms, reports and any other documentation to support findings and determinations resulting from surveys, assessments, audits or any other type of observable process
- Develop and implement plans to mitigate vulnerabilities; conduct assessments of vulnerabilities on buildings and facilities to determine the level of risk to develop and recommend appropriate mitigation countermeasures in operational and non-operational situations
Desired Education:
- High school diploma is required, An AA degree is desired; OR two (2) years of Physical Security experience may be substituted for an AA degree.
Desired Experience:
- Applicants must have (4) years of experiences, education, or training that demonstrates the ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of security instructions, regulations, and procedures.
- Applicants must demonstrate the ability or have endorsements that indicate the ability to learn and perform the cited position's duties. Must demonstrate knowledge of security classification methods, concepts, eligibility for access to classified or sensitive information and the process for granting personnel security clearances/accesses, and knowledge of commonly applied security principles, concepts, and methodologies in carrying out information, personnel related to the protection of SCI.
- Specialist should have knowledge of the methods of performing such duties as conducting inspections and investigations, collecting and analyzing information, etc., and skill in weighing the impact of variables such as critical personnel qualifications, access and entry restrictions, equipment availability, and other issues that influence the course of actions taken in resolving security questions and issues.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
