We are currently seeking a COMSEC Shipping Clerk to support our customer in Crane, IN. The ideal candidate will be able to perform the following duties, as well as possess the following education and experience:

Duties:

  • Shipment preparation on a daily basis
  • Acquiring address verifications from the distant end
  • Work with the Local Element (LE) to coordinate equipment drop off and pick up
  • Work with the LE on obtaining shipping documents (DD1149//1348)
  • Work with NSLC Transportation on the correct shipping address, times of operation, and the correct point of contact with the distant end
  • Pack and Prep shipments in accordance with MILSTRIP/ CMS 1A standards
  • Create and process naval messages for release
  • Coordinate with LE’s to demilitarize obsolete gear
  • Transport COMSEC shipments to shipping locations
  • Update and maintain incoming and outgoing on a daily basis
  • Work through the receiving processes of incoming gear from other COMSEC accounts
  • Send receipt of the gear back to the shipping account
  • Gathering metrics for the COMSEC office
  • Assist the CAM/ACAM on annually and quarterly inspections

Desired Education:

  • BS or BA degree is desired; ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: An AA or AA degree and additional four (4) years of experience; OR an additional (8) years of experience may be substituted for a BS or BA degree

Desired Experience:

  • Applicants must have (4) years of experiences, education, or training that demonstrates the ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of security instructions, regulations, and procedures.
  • Applicants must demonstrate the ability or have endorsements that indicate the ability to learn and perform the cited position's duties.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of security classification methods, concepts, eligibility for access to classified or sensitive information and the process for granting personnel security clearances/accesses.
  • Must possess knowledge of commonly applied security principles, concepts, and methodologies in carrying out information, personnel related to the protection of SCI.
  • Specialist should have knowledge of the methods of performing such duties as conducting inspections and investigations, collecting and analyzing information, etc., and skill in weighing the impact of variables such as critical personnel qualifications, access and entry restrictions, equipment availability, and other issues that influence the course of actions taken in resolving security questions and issues.

Must possess a Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
