We are currently seeking a Remote-SharePoint and PowerApps Developer. for our Knowledge Management Systems Development Team supporting our NAVSUP customer. Under the oversight of the SharePoint Project Manager, and as part of a collaborative development team, the SharePoint and Power Apps Developer manages all technical aspects of assigned SharePoint Online, Power Apps and hybrid solutions development. This includes (but is not limited to) custom SPO site and content design, complex workflow development, portal security, business process solution requirements gathering and documentation, creating Power Platform Apps, system performance monitoring and enhancement, and configuring the security of associated portals. This position plays an integral part in the development of strategies for optimal use of SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and other collaborative tools within the organization for the advancement, creation, and support of Knowledge Management Program initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Knowledge Management (KM), Microsoft SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Microsoft Power Apps and the Power Platform, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint Online.

 Common tasks will include (but not be limited to) the following:

  • Develop, configure, customize, automate, and maintain document libraries, lists, workflows, and other SharePoint site content. Perform typical site collection administrative activities such as site creation, ad hoc user training, and issue resolution.
  • Develop/Customize NAVSUP collaboration and Knowledge Management System (KMS) supporting site collections, sites, and related pages.
  • Develop, enhance, and support SharePoint architected solutions for business automation, information repositories, and KM processes.
  • Coordinate with NAVAIR SharePoint administration team and Dept. of the Navy Flank Speed (Teams & SharePoint Online for the Navy) teams as required.  Assist with NAVSUP SharePoint issue resolution.
  • Design and configure complex workflows to enable customer’s business processes.
  • Participate in planning and execution of tasks related to the evaluation of new SharePoint-based initiatives (Upgraded Versions, Third-Party Solutions, and Integration with additional Enterprise Systems).
  • Create out-of-the-box SharePoint solutions to assist customers with their day-to-day tasks.
  • Work with Project Managers, Organization Stakeholders, and Business Analysts to design and develop solutions to address business needs and opportunities and propose changes to make SharePoint-based solutions and environment more effective.
  • Create technical design documents based on business need specifications. Provide technical input for solution requirements, create unit tests, system tests and implementation plans for small to complex projects.
  • Complete self-directed study of business processes, procedures, terminology, technology, and related tools.
  • Post work performed to the DevOps management, or similar, system.
  • Fulfill emerging duties/responsibilities as needed to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Maintain SharePoint Online and Power Platform expertise.
  • Must be able to work both as part of a development team and/or with very little supervision in a highly charged and fast-paced environment as project sizes fluctuate.
  • Good communication skills, specifically: listening to customer needs, restating those needs, translating those needs into technical solutions, and documenting work.
  • Desire to quickly learn new technologies, new processes, and new versions of Microsoft on-prem and online platforms. 

    Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with SharePoint site collection administration and configuration required.  Complex SharePoint workflow creation and Power Apps experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint Framework (SPFx). Web Design and related supporting technologies a plus.

     Required Education:

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, or related field.  Professional certifications (MCSD, MCP, etc.) desired.

 

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
