POSITION SUMMARY

Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in setting up, installing, repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment.

MAJOR POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Direct workers in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.

·         Assist workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.

·         Direct workers engaged in dismantling, assembling and installing industrial machinery.

·         Requisitions and keeps supply of spare parts.

·         Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.

·         Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers and assigns duties.

·         Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department or work crew.

·         Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.

·         Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.

·         Confer with other departments to coordinate activities or repairs.

·         Perform activities of workers supervised.

·         Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

High School Diploma or GED

One-year certificate from college or technical school or three to six months related experience/training.
