Clinical Educator

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Numotion’s Clinical Educator performs needs assessments, designs education curricula, selects appropriate delivery methods, and presents education curricula to promote professional excellence with our payers, ATP’s and clinical referral sources. This includes the implementation of an evaluation system to monitor the quality of the education material delivered.
Essential Functions:
- Participates in a team that designs, manages, and implements education to Numotion’s payers, clinical referral sources, and ATP staff; incorporating appropriate adult learning principles.
- Conduct learning needs assessments to identify requirements for course material and training methods for all education programs across the company.
- Collaborate with sales leadership team to identify and provide education for sales staff
- Evaluates the effectiveness of current sales staff clinical education programs; making changes where necessary, in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Education and sales leadership.
- Develop curricula, goals and learning objectives for courses
- Determine best instructional approach such as in-person presentations, audio/visual, print, computer and internet modalities as required.
- Research and investigate tools related to clinical education, utilizing a wide variety of methods to present education programs.
- Ensure all new initiatives, policies and procedures, guidelines, or other necessary updates are incorporated into orientation/training programs for ATPs and other applicable sales roles.
- Develop post-program surveys and processes to obtain participant feedback and assess learning outcomes and implementation.
- Provide feedback, recommendations and corrective action plans to field leadership team regarding outcomes/feedback.
- Ensure successful execution of education programs in coordination with new acquisitions.
- Develop education modules and educate clinical referrals and ATPs on required documentation for payers.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
- 5+ years’ experience working in a clinical environment as an occupational or physical therapist required.
- 3+ years’ experience in management/leadership role preferred.
- Excellent oral, written, and listening communication skills required as well as demonstrated interpersonal skills.
- Experience with healthcare regulations, knowledge of state and federal requirements and standards.
- Experience with instructional design, curriculum development, needs assessment and adult learning principles.
- Knowledge in healthcare compliance including privacy and security regulations, confidentially laws, and access and release of information.
- Manage a significant volume of projects developed in a field-based environment, while exhibiting the ability to prioritize, provide oversight, and demonstrate excellent judgment and work in a continuous improvement environment.
- Work within a matrixed, multi-disciplinary team to form working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Effectively manage through and lead change in an ever-changing and evolving external health care environment.
- Critical thinking and decision making skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and network throughout the organization to identify solutions.
- Be a self-starter, be accountable and have a sense of urgency in delivering results.
- Demonstrated clinical and technical skills.
Mental and physical requirements:
- Must be highly mobile, able to access all areas of the premises;
- Ability to concentrate and remain focused while handling multiple tasks, responsibilities and projects;
- Ability to commit to extensive travel; as necessary;
- Ability to work over eight hours in a work day, and over 40 in a work week as necessary;
- Ability to read, comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
Pay Range: $85,000 - $95,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
