Position Overview: Seating Technician
Location: Ft. Lauderdale - Interchange
Position Type: Full-Time/Regular

As a Seating Technician at Numotion, you will be a key player in the successful assembly, delivery, and fitting of Complex Rehabilitation Technology (CRT) equipment. This role supports the Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) and directly contributes to fulfilling Numotions vision of delivering life-changing mobility products and services. You will work closely with clients to ensure their mobility needs and functional goals are met, while maintaining high standards of customer service. Given the nature of this role, candidates should be prepared for significant travel of up to 75%, visiting client locations, care facilities, and other sites throughout the Ft. Lauderdale area and surrounding regions.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist ATPs: Support the ATP team with equipment assembly and delivery as needed, ensuring seamless coordination and timely completion of all assigned tasks.

Equipment Assembly and Delivery: Assemble and fit CRT equipment, including manual and power wheelchairs and other assistive technologies, ensuring that client goals are met with minimal oversight. Deliver equipment to client homes, medical facilities, and other designated locations.

Troubleshooting: Assess product issues in the field and collaborate with the ATP for effective solutions. Identify mechanical or functional problems and take appropriate corrective action to ensure client safety and satisfaction.

Maintain Workspace: Keep the shop and warehouse clean, organized, and safe for all operations. Ensure tools, parts, and equipment are properly stored and accounted for at all times.

Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure delivery vehicles are kept clean and in safe working order. Conduct routine checks and report any maintenance needs promptly to the appropriate personnel.

Client Relationship Management: Assist in maintaining strong relationships with existing business accounts, including healthcare providers, rehabilitation centers, and individual clients. Represent Numotion professionally in all client-facing interactions.

Accurate Documentation: Ensure that all required documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner, in full compliance with Numotion policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable federal guidelines.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all standard safety procedures and regulations at all times, including proper lifting techniques, vehicle safety protocols, and workplace hazard awareness.

In-Service Training: Attend required company training and professional development sessions to stay current with CRT products, industry standards, and Numotion operational procedures.

Customer Collaboration: Work closely with ATPs and customers to ensure equipment solutions align with individual client needs, functional goals, and prescribed specifications.

Customer Service Focus: Provide outstanding customer service at all times, proactively addressing concerns, answering questions, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the delivery and fitting process.

Problem Solving: Quickly address any concerns raised by customers during deliveries or fittings, seeking guidance from the ATP as necessary to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.

Adhere to Leadership Principles: Utilize Numotion Leadership Principles to maintain integrity, compliance, and company values in every aspect of the role.

Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality in all employee and customer matters and comply with all federal and organizational policies and regulations, including HIPAA and other applicable privacy standards.

Required Skills

  • Complex Rehabilitation Technology (CRT) equipment assembly and fitting
  • Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude for equipment troubleshooting and repair

Required Experience

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of one year of related mechanical or electrical experience preferred
  • Valid State Drivers License with a satisfactory driving record required
  • Experience in equipment assembly, delivery, or technical field service preferred
  • Prior experience in the healthcare, durable medical equipment, or CRT industry is a plus
  • Experience working directly with clients or patients in a service-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical or electrical equipment issues
  • Experience maintaining accurate records and completing compliance documentation
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time within the Ft. Lauderdale area and surrounding regions
  • Experience working in a team-based environment alongside clinical or technical professionals
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations, inventory management, or logistics is beneficial
  • Track record of maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction in previous roles
