JOB PURPOSE:
The Quality Assurance Specialist oversees internal audits and may be requested to review external audits for quality. This role provides feedback and information to managers and supervisors, recommends trainings and/or improvements to assist in the development of each Customer Care Representative (CCR) as needed, assists in quality improvement training, and conducts timely follow-up on assigned accounts to reduce outstanding account receivables.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop audit tracking for quality improvement.

Develop and share auditing guidelines.
-
Develop and implement training based on established audit findings.
-
Generate reports for tracking and progress.
-
Maintain Quality Assurance records.
-
Act as a leader within the team while maintaining a positive attitude and serving as a change agent.

Participate in department/company projects and initiatives.
-
Assemble and analyze files for audits.
-
Travel, as needed.
-
Review pertinent industry literature.

Mentor new Billing & Collections Coordinator employees as assigned.

Attend payer seminars and educational events as assigned.

Participate in staff meetings.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma/GED required.

Minimum two years of related experience required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent verbal and written skills.
-
Exceptional interpersonal and customer service experience.
-
Solid written and verbal communication, listening, organization and priority setting skills.
PREFERRED COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates degree preferred.

Minimum of one-year successful experience in healthcare reimbursement industry.

Ability to think quickly, assess a situation and make a clear and sound decision.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities.

Plan and organize effectively to achieve productivity goals.

Ability to use technology to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
