As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex manual and powered wheelchairs and other essential medical equipment. Your technical knowledge and mechanical aptitude will be crucial in ensuring that all equipment meets manufacturer specifications and functions properly. You will work both in our shop and in the field, providing direct service to our customers who depend on their mobility equipment for daily activities.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include diagnosing equipment issues, obtaining quotes for parts, and completing repairs efficiently. You will maintain rental and stock equipment, ensuring it is clean, organized, and in reliable working order for customer use. The role requires maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shop/warehouse at all times, as well as keeping delivery vehicles in safe operating condition.

Parts management will be an important aspect of your role, including receiving, storing, and shipping parts for equipment while ensuring accurate inventory tracking. You will need to complete documentation thoroughly and in a timely manner, including obtaining necessary signatures and submitting reports as required.

Customer education is a key component of this position. You will educate customers and caregivers on the proper use, care, and safety of their equipment to enhance longevity and user safety. You will also perform minor fittings and adjustments to ensure that equipment is customized and comfortable for each user.

Safety is paramount at Numotion. You will be expected to follow all safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe work environment. Additionally, you will participate in required in-service training to stay updated with the latest industry practices and product knowledge.

This full-time, regular position is based in our Bossier City-Old Minden Rd location and does not require travel. The physical demands of the job include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pull/push equipment weighing over 100 lbs as necessary. The role also requires prolonged periods of standing, bending, and kneeling, as well as strong manual dexterity for equipment manipulation and repairs. You may occasionally need to work in inclement weather conditions during field operations and be available for overtime when required based on business needs.
