JOB PURPOSE:
The Executive Director of Licensing, Accreditation, and Credentialing is responsible for overseeing all licensure, certification, and accreditation activities across the organization’s multi-state operations. This leadership role ensures ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, as well as accreditation standards from bodies such as The Joint Commission (TJC), ACHC, and HQAA. The Executive Director is a strategic partner to operational, compliance, revenue cycle, and field teams and leads a department charged with maintaining continuous regulatory readiness across all DME lines of business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
§ Develop and execute a comprehensive licensing, accreditation, and credentialing strategy for DME operations across multiple states and business lines, including complex rehab, retail, and home delivery.
§ Ensure all applicable licenses (e.g., DMEPOS, pharmacy, rehab technology) are obtained, renewed, and maintained on time and in full compliance with federal and state regulations.
§ Manage and lead maintenance of organizational accreditation (e.g., TJC, ACHC, HQAA), including preparation, survey readiness, corrective action planning, and relationship management with accrediting bodies.
§ Lead and mentor a team responsible for licensing, accreditation, and credentialing across all locations and service areas.
§ Monitor evolving CMS requirements and state-specific rules governing DMEPOS suppliers and proactively advise stakeholders of regulatory changes and implications.
§ Oversee internal audits and mock surveys to ensure continuous compliance and operational readiness across all sites.
§ As needed, serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and accreditation organizations during surveys, investigations, and other interactions.
§ Develop and maintain centralized systems and tools for tracking licenses, certifications, and accreditation status across the enterprise.
§ Collaborate with compliance, legal, operations, revenue cycle, and sales teams to support business growth, market entry, and risk mitigation.
§ Provide timely reports and briefings to executive leadership on compliance status, risk exposure, and strategic opportunities.
§ Utilize Numotion Leadership Principles to perform the job with integrity, compliance, and values consistent with Numotion’s mission.

§ Always provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in health care administration, public health, regulatory affairs, or a related field required; Master’s degree (MPH, MHA, MBA, JD) preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in health care licensing, accreditation, and credentialing with at least 5 years in the DME sector.
- Deep knowledge of CMS supplier standards, DMEPOS accreditation requirements, and state-level licensing requirements (including Board of Pharmacy, DME licenses, and other related permits).
- Direct experience with TJC, ACHC, HQAA, or other DME accreditation bodies.
- Proven leadership and management experience across multi-site or multi-state operations.
- Strong project management, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence at all levels of the organization.

PREFERRED COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
§ Experience navigating Medicare/Medicaid enrollment and revalidation processes.
§ Knowledge of home health licensing requirements.
§ Familiarity with licensing and compliance issues related to complex rehab technology (CRT) and assistive technology professionals (ATPs).
§ Experience with compliance software and centralized document management systems

§ Domestic travel required approximately 20–30% of the time to support site readiness, surveys, and agency meetings.
