The pay range for this position is $22-$27 per hour. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location

 

JOB PURPOSE:
The Service Technician I is primarily responsible for installation, repairs, preparation of products for delivery, and final delivery to customers.  They will use a variety of diagnostic tools and current information from manufacturers in their evaluation and repair of equipment.  The Service Technician I will maintain clients’ and referral sources’ satisfaction by ensuring outcomes are being met while demonstrating care for the customer.  The role will also need to support product sales and quoting/estimating, as necessary.  
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  •  Conduct in-home needs assessment and site analysis.
  •  Diagnose and troubleshoot basic product issues on equipment and services with assistance of leaders, peers, and manufacturer guidance as required.  
  •  Perform minor adjustments of customer equipment as needed or directed.
  •  Provide positive customer service at all times, whether in a home or in-shop environment; maintain positive relationships with current business referrals. 
  •  Educate customers and caregivers on proper use & upkeep of equipment. 
  •  Able to consistently complete numerous repair events (evaluations and/or deliveries) per day.
  •  Complete all paperwork associated with each job order in a thorough and timely manner.
  •  Act on production/delivery jobs daily ensuring that all parts and necessary approvals for each job are completed.
  •  Manage the maintenance of all company equipment and tools to ensure proper function and appearance while also maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  •  Ensure that the company van is kept clean during and after deliveries.
  •  Participate in all required training – continually pursue/master industry trends and keep abreast of best practices.
  •  At times may help unload freight from delivery trucks.
  •  Utilize Numotion Leadership Principles to perform job with integrity, compliance, and values consistent with Numotion’s mission.  
  •  Adhere to employee or customer confidentiality and comply with Numotion’s policies and federal regulations. 
  •  Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times.  Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
  •  Valid State Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  •  High School diploma/GED.
  •  Must have a positive attitude and be service minded.  Customer service is the backgone of our company.
 
PREFERRED COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  •  Bi-lingual.
  •  Knowledge of how to maintain, repair, diagnose and correctly install or replace equipment.
  •  Proficiency to logically troubleshoot, using identifiable problem-solving techniques.
  •  Experience in the mobility industry is a plus.
  •  Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
  •  Strong technical service aptitude and skills.
  •  Self-starter, highly independent and responsible to results with minimal supervision.
  •  Compassion and empathy with customer base is a priority.
  •  Results oriented with high levels of pride in workmanship.
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  •  Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and pull/push equipment heavier than 100 lbs. at times.
  •  Prolonged periods of standing.
  •  Requires frequent bending and kneeling.
  •  Requires fine manipulation capabilities and firm grasping abilities with hands and fingers.
  •  Able to work in inclement weather conditions at times.
  •  Willing to work in wheelchair users’ home/facility/school or other location.
