Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Assistant Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services - Transplant.

In this role, the successful candidate The Assistant Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services in Transplant is responsible for the coordination of transplant pharmacy activities, oversight and quality assurance of our system transplant services.

Job Responsibilities:

• To fulfill the core values and mission of NYU Langone Health and incorporate them into the performance of duties.

• Develop and maintain a high-level clinical pharmacy practice. Participate in multidisciplinary, bedside rounds, pharmacotherapeutic, pharmacokinetic, and pharmaco-economic consultation.

• Contribute to professional development of transplant pharmacy staff.

• Develops and implements clinical practice guidelines that will enhance transplant pharmaceutical care and medication safety.

• Lead pharmacy informatics and information technology initiatives, including Epic order verification enhancements and other technology projects aimed at improving medication safety and operational efficiency for transplant-related services across NYU Langone Health campuses.
• Manage and provide operational oversight for transplant-focused clinical pharmacy services within the pharmacy department and at the Transplant Institute, ensuring high-quality care across both inpatient and outpatient settings. Facilitate communication and workflow coordination between pharmacy, transplant clinicians, nursing, and ancillary services. 
• Evaluate performances, conduct annual performance and competency assessments, determine disciplinary actions and perform other human resource-related actions as needed.
• In addition to the NYU Langone Tisch/Kimmel Campus, support the recruitment, hiring, performance management, competency assessments, and staff development for pharmacy personnel assigned to transplant services across the entire NYU Langone Health System. 

• Hospital committee involvement, as identified and assigned by the Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services.

• Establish and monitor productivity, safety, and quality assurance metrics, reporting outcomes to pharmacy leadership and transplant stakeholders. Represent pharmacy leadership in hospital and system-level committees focused on transplant pharmacy practice.

• Serve as the Residency Program Director for the PGY2 Solid Organ Transplant Pharmacy Residency Program. Ensure program compliance with accreditation requirements, foster scholarly activity and professional development.

• Responsible for Pharmacy Resident precepting and scholarly activity.

• Maintains professional competency and certification.

• Participate in the Clinical Pharmacy On-Call.

• Assist in the coordination and development of new programs and services

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy. New York State Pharmacist licensure.
PGY1 pharmacy residency training.
PGY2 pharmacy residency training or equivalent salaried professorship at a school of pharmacy.
Board certification in Pharmacotherapy or other specialty is required within 18 months of hire.
Self-motivation, good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Minimum 3 years in progressive pharmaceutical management position.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Leadership qualities

Preferred Qualifications:
5 years experience in progressive pharmaceutical management position

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $152,240.26 - $225,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
