Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Manager - Real Estate Transcations (RED+F Dept).
Reporting to NYU Langone Health's Assistant Senior Director, Real Estate Leasing and Acquisitions, the Manager of Real Estate Transactions will play a role in all aspects of the development and implementation of solutions to the health systems space needs. As NYU Langone Health is consistently evaluating and analyzing its space requirements and real estate opportunities, this position provides an unmatched opportunity for a talented person to contribute and learn.
Job Responsibilities:
- Managing the leasing and acquisition of real property interests requisite to support the needs of the health system for administrative, clinical, and research space.
- Leading negotiations for contracts of sale, leases, licenses, easements, and other instruments in support of the above requirements, project managing the entire transaction process across external (landlords, brokers, attorneys) and internal (end user groups, real estate/facilities, design & construction, finance, MCIT and risk management) from strategic conception to execution and implementation into the REDF portfolio.
- Assisting in the management of the Real Estate portfolio, including acting as a liaison in resolving lease disputes and other tenant related matters on behalf of the division and the various occupants of space within the health systems off campus portfolio.
- Preparing property budgets of projected development and occupancy costs regarding proposed transactions and monitoring budget performance against initiatives.
- Producing analyses of the real estate portfolio, including projections of current and future space needs, market trends and availabilities, and potential transaction opportunities (acquisition/disposition) in response to institutional needs; This description is intended to illustrate the types of duties and levels of responsibility required of the position. - Preparing executive presentations and various internal approval documents for the health system administration, board committees, and/or trustees; planning and development of property-related capital projects. Reviewing expense invoices and confirming compliance with lease agreements and preparing other budget documents, spreadsheets, or forecasts related to the management of the portfolio.
- Participate in the lease administration system and process, including accurate calculation and input of lease terms and rent schedules, tracking critical dates, maintaining lease abstracts, and producing portfolio data for real estate and financial reporting as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree
- 3 years related full-time real estate transaction-oriented experience
- Superior negotiating, organization, and project management skills
- Strong communication, quantitative and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree or relevant coursework
- Strong computer database management and spreadsheet software capability
- 5+ years related experience

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $121,792.21 - $143,095.68 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
