Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Associate.
The Jordan Wellness Collaborative (JWC) Lab is a multidisciplinary research and practice collaborative
that works across a multi-grant portfolio to advance community research and program development
focused on substance use, mental health, and accessible health systems. The JWC partners closely with
community organizations, health systems, and other stakeholders to design, implement, and evaluate
initiatives that promote wellness and reduce differences in care access and outcomes.
The Project Associate (Part-Time) will provide administrative and programmatic support to the
Principal Investigator (PI) and research team to ensure efficient day-to-day operations of the JWC and
NYU UC2 Hub. Primary responsibilities include scheduling, note taking, document and data
organization, assisting with preparation of project materials, and supporting coordination of special events
as needed
Job Responsibilities:
Project & Administrative Support: Assist with logistics for selected Hub meetings and activities, including preparing agendas, organizing materials, and maintaining shared documents and files, as assigned. Maintain basic tracking tools such as calendars, task lists, and spreadsheets to support monitoring of project timelines and deliverables under the direction of the PI. Assist with coordinating special events, such as occasional workshops, trainings, convenings, or community-focused meetings, as needed, primarily by supporting planning, invitations, materials preparation, and day-of logistics.
Scheduling & Meeting Coordination Support: Support scheduling and coordination of meetings for the PI, and project teams, focusing on key recurring meetings and priority engagements identified by Hub leadership. Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, virtual meeting links, and related documents in advance. Attend designated meetings, take clear and accurate notes or minutes, and circulate summaries and action items to relevant team members, as assigned.
Communication & Coordination: Support internal and external communication by drafting routine emails and follow-up messages, including scheduling requests, reminders, and simple information inquiries.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Associate's Degree is required. Minimum of 1 Year of related experience in an office setting or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Effective Oral, written communication and interpersonal skills. Computer Skills - Working knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power point and Access. Ability to develop basic formulae for spreadsheets; set up routine computer procedures; Ability to access e-mail, electronic calendars, and other basic office support software. Ability to proofread documents and write clear, concise 1st draft. Ability to type at a speed of at least 45 net words per minutes.Knowledge of standard office practices. Ability to multi-task while paying attention to details. Ability to use standard office equipment such as copy machines, multi-line telephones, fax machines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree in a related field with 2 to 3 years of related experience in an office setting is preferred.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $32.14 - $38.15 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
