Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Clerk, Mailroom Receiving.
In this role, the successful candidate FULL TIME DISTRIBUTION ATTENDANT (37.50 HOURS/WEEK)
Responsible for handling of all mail materials within the medical center. Responsibilities will include Mailroom sorting and automation receiving movement of Inventory issuance and maintenance of all work areas. Ability to manage multiple task and daily deadlines. . Attendance and Punctuality is essential.
Job Responsibilities:
- Sortation and distribution of inbound mail.
- Collect, sort, weigh and process outgoing mail from campus departments and offices.
- Performs related record-keeping functions such as logs, returns, and notes involving damage or adjustments.
- Responsible for performing a full range of order fulfillment and receiving/warehouse functions including loading and unloading, shipping, receiving, weighing, tagging, sorting, counting, stocking, storing, packing, and unpacking of supplies, mail, and equipment; operates postage equipment.
- Receives supplies and equipment and verifies count against bill of lading, packing slips, and other accompanying documents.
- Downloads pick tickets utilizing inventory control applications and scanning handheld devices and assembles orders for par program and Nursing Units while following hospital/departmental policies and procedures.
- Distributes supplies and equipment throughout the Medical Center using manual equipment, U-boats, hand or platform trucks.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Effective communication skills, verbal and written. Basic computer skills. Maintains professional interactions with customers and materials management staff. Demonstrates an ability to function successfully in a team environment. Exhibits courteous, compassionate and respectful treatment of internal and external customers. Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty pounds (50 lbs.).
Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma Required
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
