Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Epic Application Lead.
The Epic Application Lead meets or exceeds the accountabilities of the Senior Analyst 2 role. As the first step in the leadership ladder, this position is accountable to their Manager and/or Director for delegation and oversight of deliverables and completion of tasks as assigned. They are also responsible for facilitation of integrated processes and workflow changes across the enterprise, and to optimize the software. Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of assigned Epic software and workflows. They serve as a liaison between end users and Epic implementation staff, and provide guidance and training to junior level staff. This role will actively engage in ensuring consistent standards and efficiency across the system. As a Radiant System lead most projects have downstream implications with the equipment or imaging ancillary applications. Building and maintaining strong relationships with ancillary counterparts is critical to executing quality improvements. As a radiant lead you will be assigned specific clinical areas to focus on developing optimization and priority lists as well as collaborating to shape new initiatives through the project pipeline. Partnering with analysts on product functionality and its application to the broader team is another important leadership task. This position provides effective business and operational guidance and support. The Epic Application Lead demonstrates a significant level of expertise in integrated workflows and build to assist and mentor the analysts on the team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in disaster recovery measures.
- Work with appropriate parties to identify change implications, target audiences and messaging techniques.
- Establish and maintain open lines of communication among the project tracks, teams, and users. Providing oversight for issue resolution within the teams, communicating status and escalating as appropriate.
- Work with the operational stakeholders to develop scope, impact and change management activities. Develop and maintain work plans, and status reporting for the Epic Integration projects.
- Work with the operational project leadership and other MCIT teams develop and maintain work plans, and status reporting for the Epic Integration projects.
- Support the Director in managing day-to-day activities of the team against incidents, service requests, timelines and ensures timely reporting of activities to the project managers.
- Work collaboratively with the technical teams to coordinate software updates and changes.
- Ensure that all new releases and enhancements are thoroughly reviewed and tested.
- Actively engage the training team by including them in team meetings and workflow validation.
- Ensure that teams are partnering with operational counterparts regarding potential system enhancement needs.
- Lead and participate in the development, review and delivery of project deliverables identified in the project plan.
- Collaborate with other application leaders and project managers to ensure processes and other technical solutions are effectively integrated.
- Ensure that data interfacing into and out of Epic meets business needs inclusive of reporting and dashboard needs.
- Provide on-site support during go-lives and system upgrades.
- Proactively research new functionality to guide whether or how it should be used.
- Ensure the test scripts have been created, reviewed, and updated to reflect proposed workflow solutions.
- Facilitate the identification, documentation, research, and resolution of project and related project issues.
- Provide support to internal and external customers.
- Meet frequently with analysts assigned to your initiatives. Take turns in running different team meetings and/or office hours.
- Contributes to annual performance reviews.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Strong written and oral communication skills. Advanced analytical skills and experience implementing Epic applications.
Strong interpersonal relationship skills. Good process design experience. Demonstrate ability in staff mentoring and adherence to process standards around documentation and workflow design. Basic project management skills (ability to lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts, maintain issues list, manage project plan). Ability to lead discovery initiatives to identify appropriate system solutions. Bachelor degree in business or IT, and 3-5 years of related work experience are required. Epic certification in lead application required. Healthcare experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Healthcare experience required. Additional workflow certifications preferred.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $121,792.21 - $166,130.83 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
