Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Manager, Regional Ambulatory Practices - Riverhead.

In this role, the successful candidate will manage and advise on all day to day operations of their assigned ambulatory sites. In this role, the successful candidate will collaborate with the Assistant Director and other administrative directors on the planning, development, and direction of initiatives to improve patient care. The Regional Manager will also be responsible for transitioning new Physicians into the appropriate ambulatory site, collaborate on the planning and development of initiatives to improve revenue cycle processes, and partner with the Director on productivity management of assigned ambulatory sites including facilitating the achievement of RVU targets and participation in business development.

Job Responsibilities:

Operations & Financial Management 
• Manage and advise on all day- to- day activities of assigned multi-specialty NYU ambulatory sites.
• Ensure that NYU Ambulatory Policy and Procedures are being enforced in the assigned sites.
• Partner with the Assistant Director, Ambulatory Practices on the planning, development, and direction of initiatives to improve patient care.
• Collaborate with Administrative Directors and/or Office Managers to ensure the safety and comfort of patients and employees, including the development of emergency action plans.
• Manage and improve the business functions of the assigned ambulatory sites.
• Collaborate on the planning and development of initiatives to improve revenue cycle processes.
• Partner with Director, Ambulatory Transitions to transition new Physicians into the appropriate ambulatory site.
• Organize physician and staff meetings to ensure information is disseminated in a timely manner and education is provided as needed.
• Establish reward and recognition programs to ensure remote sites stay connected to NYU.
• Coordinate with FGP clinical team to address issues related to accreditation, certification, and clinical quality.
• Serves as an EPIC Super User and facilitates workflow enhancements by leveraging EPIC resources.
• Monitors customer service metrics including Press Ganey to continuously improve the patient experience.
• Proactively address staffing concerns and plans for volume changes and staffing coverage.
• Assesses equipment requests, maintenance contracts, and coordinates responses to facility issues.
• Foster relationships across the network to create awareness of system resources throughout the continuum of care.  
• Partner with the Director on productivity management of assigned ambulatory sites including facilitating the achievement of RVU targets and participation in business development.  
• In conjunction with the Assistant Director, Ambulatory Practices and Faculty Group Practice leadership, collaboratively responsible for implementing business plan components and monitoring achievement of benchmarks and goals and changing direction as needed.
• Review billing and revenue cycle activities at the assigned ambulatory sites.
• Meet regularly with Assistant Director, Ambulatory Operations and Faculty Group Practice leadership to report operating issues that may impact financial results.

•   Drives consistency in every patient and colleague encounter by embodying the core principles of our FGP Service Strategy CARES (Connect, Align, Respond, Ensure, and Sign-Off)
•   Greets patients warmly and professionally, stating name and role, and clearly communicates each step of the care/interaction as appropriate
•    Works collaboratively with colleagues and site management to ensure a positive experience and timely resolution for all patient interactions and inquiries whether in person, by phone or via electronic messaging.  
•    Proactively anticipates patient needs, and participates in service recovery by applying the LEARN model (Listen, Empathize, Apologize, Resolve, Notify), and escalates to leadership as appropriate.
•    Shares ideas or any observed areas of opportunity, to improve patient experience and patient access, with appropriate leadership. (i.e. ways to optimize provider schedules, how to minimize delays, increase employee engagement, etc.)
•    Partners with Patient Access Center and Central Billing Office team members to support collaboration and promote a positive patient experience.
•    Takes a proactive approach in ensuring that practice staff are fully versed in the Access Agreement gold standard principles.

 

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a A Bachelor's Degree (Masters degree preferred) with a minimum of 4-7 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination or training and relevant work experience, preferably in a large multi-specialty group practice or academic medical center is required. Successful track record in leadership and staff management. Strong understanding of the theories, principles and processes of physician office and revenue cycle management. Demonstrated success in working with physicians. Experience with IT systems used in medical management. Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws. Good written and oral communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language. Highly self motivated and directed.
Keen attention to detail. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Strong customer service orientation. Ability to complete multiple tasks efficiently and thrive in a team work environment which pursues a positive patient care experience.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $80,349.03 - $109,706.69 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
