Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Nurse Coordinator- Arrythmia Clinic, Outpatient - Mineola.

In this role, the successful candidate will coordinate the Pacemaker/Defibrillator Clinic, device interrogation and reprogramming, patient education and follow up. Responsible for monitoring trans-telephonic and web-based device reports. Generate reports for event and loop recorders. Coordinate electrophysiology research studies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Provide full-time pacemaker and ICD interrogations, reprogramming, generate reports for physician of abnormal findings. Over read reports, analyze data and report to physician appropriately. Carry long range pager and be available on an on-call basis.
  • Responsible for patient care and generating reports for event recorders, loop recorders and trans-telephonic monitoring (TTM). Interface with vendors on a daily basis to manage patient devices. Prepare physician billing. Schedule patients TTM.
  • Instruct patients regarding the use of all devices. Call patient in the event of an abnormal reading, triage situation appropriately.
  • Clinical and administrative management of research studies. Responsible for screening and identifying patients for studies. Assure protocol compliance for research trials. Complete pre-trial documentation for submission to IRB.
  • Manage Filemaker Pro and Pace-Art database for EP reports. Manage Latitude, Care-Link and troubleshoot issues.

 

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Current and valid NYS Registered Nurse License and BLS. 3 - 5 years Related clinical field. Excellent computer and organizational skills. Knowledge of electrophysiology. Ability to coordinate research studies and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:
Other Advanced clinical Degree . Nurse Practitioner (NP).

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $128,440.00 - $152,938.91 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
