Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Supervisor of Exercise Physiology, Manhattan - Langone Orthopedic Center.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for the daily operations of their unit and providing ongoing supervision of all direct client-care staff who are assigned to a designated unit. Responsible for keeping their immediate supervisor informed of all relevant updates both clinically and operationally.
Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates knowledge of the organizations mission and core values and incorporates them into the performance of duties and role models standards for staff.1. Plans, organizes and monitors all unit client-care activities given to assigned staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Oversees the storage and maintenance of supplies and equipment for the unit.
- Maintains unit records and prepares reports required by the department.
- Plans, develops and implements new procedures for the unit.
- Assists in developing goals, standards, and evaluation criteria for performance improvement.
- Promotes unit activities that support the professional development of the staff in coordination with the clinical specialists.
- Evaluates and documents staff performance and provides personnel counseling and when necessary, disciplines staff in accordance with NYU Hospital policies and procedures.
- Orients staff and provides on the job training on client care, training methods and techniques, and departmental policies and procedures. Ensures the monitoring of quality care and training for sports performance center.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Masters degree in exercise or applied physiology with a minimum of 5 years experience. Certification in Basic Cardiac Life support. Expertise in movement analysis, data interpretation, sports training and injury prevention. Use of CPR/AED. Specialty certification(s) in area of expertise.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Membership in a professional organization.
Certification in CSCS, FMS, ACSM, RCEP, CES, KVest, TPI, USATF Coach (for USA field & track). Experience with metabolic testing strongly preferred

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $81,325.14 - $140,285.69 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
