Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Facility Operations Dispatch.
In this role, the successful candidate must possess at least 1 year dispatching experience; and capable of working in a fast pace environment. Individual must have experience in maintaining a daily departmental log of activities and understand the legality for accuracy and follow-up. Individual must be experienced in clerical duties (i.e., filing, copying and computer spreadsheet data entry). Must have knowledge/experience in purchase requisitions and purchase order routing. Individual must also provide quality and effective service to other departments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates knowledge of the organizations Service Standards and incorporates them into the performance of duties.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel software/programs.
- Routes requisitions and invoices in a timely manner. Maintains copies of requisitions, purchase orders and invoices for department files.
- Maintains files in an organized and up-to-date manner in order to facilitate their retrieval.
- Maintains detailed and accurate records and daily logs of department activities; to include work request and urgent/emergency incidents.
- Answers all calls received in the Engineering Department in a pleasant and professional manner. Obtains from caller all pertinent information (i.e., callers name, telephone number, nature of call and location) and directs, and responds appropriately.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma, customer service experience, basic clerical and data entry experience preferred. Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 1 year experience working in a healthcare facility environment.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $41,977.19 - $66,759.83 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
