Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Associate Learning Development Specialist.

As an Associate Learning and Development Specialist at NYU Langone Health Patient Access Center in Florida, you will play a crucial role in fostering a culture that embodies the C.A.R.E.S. principles within our training and development initiatives. Collaborating with senior L&D professionals and leadership, you'll be instrumental in delivering training programs that align with these foundational principles, enhancing the skills and knowledge of our staff in the Patient Access Center.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Foster an environment conducive to connections by assisting in the planning and coordination of workshops, training sessions, and other learning events. Ensure that all resources are aligned to create meaningful connections between participants and the content.
  • Support the facilitation of learning activities by helping to engage participants, guide discussions, and maintain an interactive and participative learning environment.
  • Collaborate with the L&D team to develop and update training materials, presentations, and content, aligning them with organizational objectives and learner needs. Maintain a cohesive alignment between training initiatives and broader goals.
  • Provide administrative support by managing scheduling, participant communication, and maintaining accurate records of training activities and attendance.
  • Assist in facilitating learning activities, engaging participants, and guiding discussions to promptly respond to their learning needs. Collect feedback to promptly address concerns and improve the effectiveness of programs.
  • Contribute creative ideas and suggestions to enhance the effectiveness and relevance of learning programs.
  • Work closely with L&D team members and cross-functional departments to align training initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Provide administrative support by managing scheduling, communication, and accurate records of training activities and attendance, ensuring smooth execution of training programs.
  • Adhere to and uphold the established Learning and Development (L&D) standards of practice.
  • Embrace and integrate the foundational principles of the C.A.R.E.S. (Connect, Align, Respond, Ensure, Sign Off) and LEARN (Listen, Empathize, Accountable, Resolve, Notify) initiatives into training programs and practices. Encourage a culture that emphasizes these principles, fostering effective communication, accountability, empathy, and resolution within the NYU Langone Health Patient Access Center.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management to support the overall objectives and operations of the NYU Langone Health Patient Access Center

 

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a At least 6 months of Contact Center Experience or 6 months of Learning & Development Experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to present information in a classroom or remote setting
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skill
Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility while working within a fast paced, ever changing environment
Have the ability to analyze issues and quickly identify the best solution for the situation
Be a high-performing PC user with basic Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word knowledge
Ability to manage self and relationships effectively through self-awareness and acceptance of feedback
Support collaborative business partnerships

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Healthcare Exposure: Ideally, experience within a healthcare facility (hospital, clinic, or primary care practice) is highly valued, though not mandatory.
2. Training Design and Delivery: Demonstrated involvement in creatively designing, developing, and delivering non-technical training to an adult audience. Please provide samples highlighting your contributions.
3. Educational Abilities: Possess skills or educational background related to analyzing learners, structuring courses, developing content, and writing learning objectives.
4. Contact Center Understanding: Functional knowledge of Contact Center trends, practices, training initiatives, and quality programs, recognizing the unique challenges faced by frontline staff.
5. Learner-Centric Approach: Ability to tailor learning materials based on learner preferences, characteristics, and competencies, demonstrating a strong focus on learner needs.
6. Communication Skills: Showcase proficiency in crafting clear and effective instructional materials, reflecting solid writing and grammar skills to enhance communication aligned with C.A.R.E.S. principles.
7. Engaging Training Delivery: Demonstrate the ability to deliver engaging training sessions that embody C.A.R.E.S. principles, creating an interactive and memorable learning experience for adult learners.
8. Team Orientation: Task, team, and deadline-oriented, with a strong inclination towards collaborative teamwork.
9. Effective Communication: Display experience in effective communication with staff across all levels, both within and beyond the Contact Center environment, in line with C.A.R.E.S. principles.
10. Learner-Focused: Exhibit a strong focus on learner preferences, characteristics, and competencies, tailoring materials and initiatives to align with C.A.R.E.S. principles
