Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Nurse Administrator.
In this role, the successful candidate Provides clinical leadership and coordinates nursing resources, supports, guides, and serves as clinical consultant to local leadership and staff, represents the hospital to patients, families and external agencies as required, consistent with the philosophy, goals, and mission of NYU Langone Health. Fosters, and sustains an environment of excellence in patient/family service, and quality nursing care. Serves as a liaison between hospital nursing staff, hospital administration, and other departments and disciplines regarding patient care and other related matters during hospital approved holidays and, on the evening, night, and weekend hours.

- Serves as a liaison between the leadership on-premises and administrator on call, chief medical officer, and others during hours that hospital administration is not present. (AONL-Leader Within)
- Acts as a clinical and administrative resource to staff involved in potential or actual sentinel events and reports the details through the appropriate risk management channels. Identifies situations that potentially pose a threat to the safety of patients, visitors, or staff, intervenes to resolve the immediate issues. (AONL-Communication & Relationship Management)
- Communicates pertinent, value-added information to incoming nurse administrator(s), respective nurse managers, directors of nursing, and vice president of Nursing and Patient Services, and pertinent hospital administrators, supporting effective exchange of information. - Serves as role model and resource for staff. Conducts appreciative coaching, counseling, and assists with progressive discipline, as appropriate, in alignment with the principles of a caring, fair, professional work environment. Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Current Registered Professional Nurse licensure in New York State.
Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association
Master's degree in nursing required.
At least three years of pertinent clinical practice.
Certification in nursing leadership required.
Ability to apply nursing process toward achievement of specific outcomes in an organized fashion to address patient/family satisfaction and quality indicators.
Excellent communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, organization, critical thinking, problem solving, and leadership skills.
Preferred 1 - 2 years Leadership or supervisory experience..
Required Licenses: Registered Nurse License-NYS, Basic Life Support Cert
