Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sr. Financial Analyst.

In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing the accounting and financial analysis related to NYU Langone Medical Center MCIT. Assists with projections, forecasts, budgets, reporting and special projects. Generates analyzes and distributes a variety of reports and analyses which are vital to decision making processes for both senior leadership and management. The function will support MCIT and NYULMC departments with the processing and reporting of financial information needed for making informed managerial decisions. Effectively and appropriately provide financial information in a timely manner

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day to day management of the financial processes, e.g. journal entries, account reconciliations, budget updates, etc.
  • Collaborates with IT management and coordinates reporting of the organization to ensure conformity with fiscal policy & procedures.
  • Coordinates, compiles and analyzes monthly financial data for MCIT and its component units utilizing spreadsheet and database applications.

 

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree and minimum 4 years relevant work experience or an equivalent combination

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $81,325.15 - $116,600.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Required Skills

Clone Christopher Yao (current internal on the team)

This person will be managing the Capital/Financial portfolio  - 170 million (100 projects financially they will manage) Constant follow-up, weekly reporting with CIO, lots of exposure. Proactive, not reactive 

Healthcare not super important. 

Licensing for IT.  Storage, network, etc.  License SAAS, On-Prem, Perpetual licensing. Cloud knowledge (general - financial management). 

IT experience, someone who has managed equal budget.  

Working hand in hand with department and project owners within MCIT. Departments will come to this team to request certain projects, capital expenses, operational expenses. Understanding scope of the project and make judgement calls.  Example, someone comes in, doing a project - planning stages, implementation - project management experience could be important. 

Run P & L, FInancial reporting, queries across different vendors

PO, invoice management - good personality. Very diverse team. Being a team player is very important. Team is tight - always helping one another, this is the culture ingrained in the team. Once we find a right candidate, we are going to change how probation will occur with this specific role.  Person who was in the role before was working 2 jobs at the same time.  Different type of vetting -this person has a lot of information.

DURING PROBATION - Has to be on-site 3 days/week (6 months).  4 days/month after that.
