Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Supervisor.
In this role, the successful candidate The Program Supervisor oversees the daily operations of Sunset Park Older Adult Center (OAC), coordinates programming, supervises assigned staff, ensures compliance with NYC Aging and other applicable standards and guidelines, and participates in fiscal management. The Program Supervisor ensures that the Center delivers high-quality programs and services and meets all programmatic targets.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and supervise all components, programs, and daily operations of the Sunset Park OAC.
- Provide direct supervision for congregate meals, case assistance services, educational and recreational activities, information and referral services, health promotion, friendly visiting and nutrition education.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable standards and guidelines; maintain accurate documentation for all program components.
- Manage and monitor contract requirements; ensure the delivery of required service units as well as the achievement of budgetary targets for the Center.
- Participate in the development of program budgets; monitor expenditures and revenues to ensure financial compliance.
- Provide direct supervision to program staff, interns, and volunteers, ensuring effective performance, and managing hiring and professional development.
- Oversee the senior facilitys operations, including daily maintenance, health and safety compliance, and adherence to all required standards and regulations.
- Supervise the on-site meal program, ensuring that the program meets all health, safety, and nutritional standards. This includes an oversight of both breakfast and lunch services.
- Lead the Centers marketing and outreach efforts; develop and implement strategies to raise awareness about the Centers programs and services, and recruit new program participants.
- Ensure timely and accurate registration processes, recordkeeping, and data management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations to enhance service delivery and better meet the needs of older adults.
- Track program deliverables, compile statistics, and prepare required reports and other documentation.
- Maintain inventory control and track onsite permits and inspections.
- Perform other duties as outlined in official standards and guidelines or as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree in Human Services, Social Work, Gerontology or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant role with supervisory/leadership responsibilities.
Knowledge and some experience working with older adults, aging services, and community resources.
Must be creative, resourceful and energetic.
Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and client/program databases.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree from an accredited graduate program in Human Services, Social Work, Gerontology or a related field.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $35.36 - $78,652.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
