Maintenance & Courier Clerk

Summary / Objective

The Maintenance and Courier Clerk is responsible to provide regular upkeep of bank building’s/property/structure. General light maintenance duties. This position performs various functions in ensuring building environments are kept clean. The position is also responsible for daily courier service of interoffice mail and other deliveries. Additional responsibilities include ordering and stocking supplies at all locations such as coffee, and office supplies. Position is full-time; however, we would consider a part-time flexible schedule up to 25 hours per week.

 Experience & Education Requirements:

• High school or equivalent degree
• Proven organizational skills and must be self-motivated
• Extensive mechanical background including skill in carpentry, mechanical repair and general maintenance

Essential Job Functions:

• Monitors and regulates the Bank’s heating, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical systems. Reports any malfunctions, arranges for repairs and performs maintenance, when necessary
• Performs routine preventative maintenance at bank location including painting, window washing, replacing fixtures and bulbs, repairing locks and moving furniture.
• ATM and drive-up cleaning and reporting any safety hazards.
• Inspects buildings and grounds for any possible repairs and problems.
• Maintains grounds by sweeping, shoveling snow and pruning trees whenever necessary.
• Cleans interior of building as needed.
• Responds to maintenance emergencies in building.
• Will use company vehicle and deliver daily interoffice mail to bank locations.
• Will make other deliveries to branch locations when necessary.
• Will sort daily mail to be delivered to each location before delivery.
• Answering questions and providing customer service to staff requiring additional courier services.

 Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Requires manual dexterity, the ability to move and lift up to 50 pounds
• Occasional local travel to other worksites is required
• Standing for longer periods of time
• Must be able to work schedules that meet the needs of the Bank, which may include early morning, evening and /or weekend hours
