About the Job
Montana State Fund (MSF) is seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Document Imaging Technician II to support high-quality document imaging operations that enable accurate, consistent, and efficient handling of claims and policy documents.
The Document Imaging Technician II manages high volumes of incoming documents by sorting, prepping, scanning, indexing, routing, and resolving daily imaging issues while also supporting mail processing and electronic fax workflows. Additionally, they handle complex imaging and data-processing challenges, mentor others, identify trends, recommend process improvements, and serve as the lead tester and liaison for IT on system updates and bug resolutions.
Required Skills
Key responsibilities include:
- All duties as a Document Imaging Tech I including:
- Review, prepare, collect, and process mail for email, fax, batching, scanning, indexing, distribution, and postage.
- Research and resolve problematic documents and respond to requests from internal customers.
- Compile and prepare data reports and assist with large mailings.
- Mentor and provide training to Document Technician level I employees in all software programs, including Data Cap, File Center, Sperry, Adobe, Claim and Policy Center.
- Participate in all user groups.
- Manage complex software work-arounds, Data Cap Abort process and other higher-level status processes within the daily management of the Data Cap monitor system.
- Maintain training documentation for unique adjustments or situations.
- Implement new projects.
- Act as an internal liaison for internal customers with questions related to system or processes.
- Act as Lead tester for IT system changes and bug resolution for all software used by Document Imaging Tech.
- Identify trends in data collected and report trends to supervisor.
- Review work processes and provide process improvement recommendations to supervisor.

Required Experience
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma and a minimum of 5 years of directly related experience in document imaging, document management, and/or document processing.
Preferred:
- Advanced experience in using MS Windows, MS Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel), FileNet, Panagon Capture, Virtual ReScan, WMS, and/or Claim Center.
- Relevant designations and certifications.
Job location
This position requires on-site presence in the Helena, MT office.
Fast paced general office environment. Some stress may occur. Requires standing for extended periods of time, sitting, visual acumen, lifting (up to 30 lbs), bending walking, manual dexterity, detailed verbal communications and fingering for working with computer keyboards and typical mailroom machinery such as facsimile, sorting, prepping, batching and scanning machines.
Compensation and Benefits
Starting salary for this non-exempt position begins at $41,400 - $51,700 per year.
