Required Skills
What you will do:
Mentorship & Training: Empower team members by mentoring and coaching them to develop their insurance knowledge, technical skills, communication abilities, and project management capabilities. Collaborate with leadership to design and deliver impactful training programs for both internal staff and external partners.
Project Management: Take the lead on department and companywide projects, driving success in alignment with company growth and retention goals. Proactively identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and manage tasks effectively.
Research & Technical Assistance: Address complex inquiries with professionalism and expertise, leveraging cross-departmental collaboration and technical knowledge to deliver accurate and timely solutions.
Data Reporting Leadership: Manage and oversee data reporting programs, ensuring accuracy and compliance in policy and claims reporting. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve reporting challenges and maintain excellence.
Quality Assurance Development: Partner with leadership to design and implement quality assurance programs. Conduct thorough reviews of policy files, align processes with industry standards, and maintain comprehensive policy service guidelines.
Regulatory Monitoring & Communication: Stay ahead of regulatory changes within the workers’ compensation landscape. Research, assess, and communicate legislative updates to management, create implementation plans, and ensure compliance through system updates and staff education.

Required Experience
What you will need (minimum qualifications):
Bachelor’s degree plus four (4) years of relevant insurance industry experience in workers’ compensation
OR High School diploma/GED and seven (7) years of relevant insurance industry experience in workers’ compensation
OR An equivalent combination of education and experience
OR Two years as an Insurance Specialist I with demonstrated ability to perform Insurance Specialist II work.
Compensation and Benefits:
Pay range 2E: Starting salary for the position begins at $62,800 - $78,500 per year. This is an exempt position.
