Overview of Responsibility: Develops social media and financial education content that aligns with brand standards and strategic goals for all delivery channels, including written and digital. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to deliver effective marketing communications that align with MSGCU’s mission, vision, and values.

  • Financial Education Creation: Creates financial education content across all channels, including blogs, social media, infographics, and video to improve member financial literacy and engagement. Stays informed with relevant research, market trends, and the economic environment to direct new content creation to support members’ financial success and the overall marketing calendar. Maintains and leads the relationship with interactive financial education vendor(s) to maintain quality, expand utilization, and maximize value. Analyzes and evaluates new and existing financial education opportunities for impact and value and recommends new educational content creation. Maintains proficiency in financial literacy to ensure accuracy and credibility of content.

§  Social Media Management: Plans, creates, publishes, and analyzes social media content strategies that increase brand awareness, engagement, marketing goals, and audience growth.  Creates and publishes platform-specific content, including graphics, photos, and video to drive interaction and visibility. Provides community management and supports online reputation management by escalating reviews and comments across social media and online review sites to ensure MSGCU’s positive reputation and strong member satisfaction ratings remain. Researches and recommends emerging trends, platforms and/or online reputation management best practices to improve performance and expand reach. 

§  Website and Digital Content Support: Creates digital content in a variety of formats in accordance with corporate, department, and campaign goals. Supports MSGCU’s growth efforts by optimizing website copy to increase traffic and improve key performance metrics. Works with stakeholders to ensure content aligns with objectives, enhances the member experience, and protects MSGCU’s brand.

§  Communication Support: Supports communication plans and develops communications to deliver relevant and timely content aligned with the organization’s brand, values, mission, and corporate positioning. Identifies and leverages the best channels and methods to achieve objectives and implements tactics accordingly.

§  Communicates Effectively: Develops and delivers multi-mode communications (original work product and reviewed/edited materials) using strong writing and editing skills. Effectively distills, organizes, and conveys complex information in a logical, visually pleasing, and user-friendly manner. Respects subtle changes in tone when writing for various audiences.

Education and Experience Requirements:

§  Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related field required; and

§  2 years of writing experience including:

-         Experience with content development, preference to in-person curriculum

-         Experience with digital content generation

§  Preferred experience includes video content creation and editing, Adobe Creative Suite (PhotoShop, InDesign Illustrator, Premiere Pro, etc.), web/portal software including basic HTML; creation of visually effective graphics, and financial services products. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
