JOB FUNCTION:

1.      Responsible for the inspection, cleaning, stocking, repair, and maintenance of fleet equipment that is transitioned, staged, or deployed at the branch, and at customer sites or in remote locations as needed.

2.      Fulfill requirements for customer orders by meeting all obligations for equipment transportation, operations, and service in accordance with the scope of work or as communicated to you by management.

3.      Operate company vehicles as required to perform essential job functions for equipment maintenance and repair, as well as customer order deliveries, on site service, and pickups.

4.      Travel as required and work a non-traditional schedule as needed to perform essential job functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.      Perform preventative maintenance and fleet repairs as needed.

2.      Do basic repairs on PEX, Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 plumbing systems and components.

3.      Troubleshoot and do basic repair on 240v, 120v, and 12v electrical systems and components.

4.      Perform basic mechanical repairs.

5.      Conduct inspections on equipment and vehicles per procedures and create work orders or DVIR’s to report and record all deficiencies.  Follow up to rectify and close out all issues as soon as possible.

6.      Work with the Production Manager, Division Manager, Branch Manager, and other PK personnel as needed to accomplish all scheduled work and stay compliant with company policies and procedures. 

7.      Communicate with Management and Logistics to coordinate equipment deliveries, pickups, and movement.

8.      Follow all company safety guidelines, as well as all DOT regulations.

9.      Clean, inspect, and repair all units coming back off rental to get them ready to go back out.

10.   Perform lot checks and report inventory levels to Logistics and Production weekly.

11.   Supervise other Porta Kleen employees as directed by management.

12.   Maintain and manage local inventory of repair parts and components at the facility, and in service vehicles in the field.

13.   Overnight as required in company provided tractors, RV’s, Sleeper Trailers, or hotels.

14.   Ability to stand for extended periods, work with hand and power tools, climb, bend, work in tight spaces, lift up to 75 lbs., and occasionally work in inclement weather as needed to perform essential job functions.

15.   Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma or GED and minimum 1-year commercial driving experience (CDL Class A).
  2. 21 years of age or older.
  3. Clean driving record with 0 accidents.
  4. Experience and knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing systems and repairs.
  5. Experience and knowledge of basic mechanical repair.
  6. Ability to read and understand documents.
  7. Ability to maintain a consistent workload that involves manual labor, and lifting up to 75 lbs.
  8. Ability to maintain alertness and acuity that is not typically impaired by any medication, diet, or physical condition.
  9. Ability to bend, stoop, squat, sit, and maneuver in confined spaces.
  10. Ability to maintain workloads that may include daily timeframes that could exceed the typical 8-hour shift.
  11. Ability to pass and hold DOT medical card.
